Windows Freezes at startup

I hit the power on button and I get a black screen that tells me Windows was not shut down properly and asks me how I want to start Windows. I have no keyboard control, so I can't select anything, and so I let the clock countdown on Start Windows Normally. The timer runs out, the computer makes a noise and NOTING happens.

PLEASE HELP!

Is your keyboard a USB type? You need to plug it into the ps/2 (I think that is what it is called...).

The small round type connector with pins lined up in a circle. The purple connector. Hope this is making sense, cuz it's making me feel dizzy. (7am here, 1st cup of coffee )

I can't plug it into the PS/2 port. It is damaged.
