Windows loads to the blue screen of death, nothing else.

I know this sounds a lot like the other guys problem, but it totally isn't.
I was just sitting on the computer (laptop actually) playing away at a game, when windows update manager began to run.
Afterwards, it finished, and wanted me to reboot. Normally, it'll say it once, and if I say I'll do it later, it won't prompt me again.
Well, it kept prompting me every 5 to 10 minutes (with a 5 minute count down, so if I didn't reply, it would reboot for me).
It got very annoying, cause I just didn't want to reboot then.
Anyway, don't know if that has anything to do with it or not.
Then, when I try to reboot, it just won't. It goes to the blue screen everytime, and yes, that includes safe mode.
I try booting with some disk's, but to no avail so far.
FYI, my dvd drive is busted, so if there's anything that can be done to just get me into windows without that, it would be frigg'in fantastic.

Running shutdown /a will abort the shutdown countdown.

I guess you could try removing the update from Add/Remove Programs, if you think that's what causes this.
