Windows mce wont boot after clean install

    I installed windows mce on my computer a few days ago and it all went fine and then wouldent you know it i ran a program that had a virus on it and it screwed up my computer so bad it wouldent boot so i tried to recover the installed operating system and it all worked(or so i thought) but it still wouldent boot. so i
    deleted the partition and installed windows again thinking that would work but wouldent you know it it didn't. and now im kind of stuck.

    Any suggestions?

    Going to need more details than that.

    Regardless of how bad the virus was, if you format the partition then it is gone. So there has to be something more to your problem.

    i hadent gotten the antivirus software on it when it happened. the computer i installed it on is a piece of crap and i wanted to test it on that computer since i bought it from a friend who likes to screw around with stuff like this. he has upgraded to vista and did not need it any more. but what do you need to know? it is a

    systemax
    700 ghz
    256 ram
    dont know the mother board
    and i have officaily dubbed it my "test" computer
    (i have installed linux unix debian on it previously)
