My windows media player always plays a message whenever i try and play some video files this message appears:

"Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there might be a problem with your sound or video device. Try installing an updated device driver."

I read another thread which of someone who had the same problem and tried their method, so i uninstalled the soundMAX integrated digital audio driver restarted the computer and then tried to install the driver again but when i ran the setup file just before installing an error message appears

"Driver not found! Reboot your system, and run this setup again"

and then the setup closes

now none of my audio or video files work coming up with the same error at the top,

could somebody help ASAP PLEASE!

thanks.

First off, you need to install the audio driver that should be on the cd that came with your mobo!!!!!

Second, google free codecs and get a few!!!!
