Windows start up problem

hey, on my main computer when i turn it on, it comes up with the DELL loading screen, then goes to this black screen with a little underscore in top left. USually about 3 - 5 seconds after that it loads the windows one. But now it doesnt do it.

Its been having this little blinking underscore that wont go away...

i remember yesterday changing some registry files but im sure that doesnt make the difference. Before a little error message came up but im not sure what it was \..

Something along the lines of

IO(something)

please type (R)eboot, (something), or press any key

i tried pressing everything and it didnt work.... Thanks in advance! ciao

fixed it, had something to do with the inputs. i just pulled out everything eexcept the mouse and keyboard + it worked. thanks for ur ahhh help
