Windows will not boot, help!

  1. Well my brother-in-law has a computer with windows xp home edition and service pack 2 installed. However, whenever he boots up and the screen gets to the windows logo with the loading bar, the loading bar freezes and windows never boots. This has happened before and caused him to reinstall on his windows partition. Windows does boot in safe mode, however(I'm on it now). Anyone have any solutions or suggestions to this problem. Thanks. :)

its a registry or driver error.
