    Reformating Error (0x000007B)

When I try to reformat windows xp on my computer it wont allow me and goes straight away to an error message. When I attempt to reformat I am using the disk provided by dell. The error is 0x000007B. The process starts like normal when I insert disk while Windows is running then continue to start-up interface after it automatically restarts then after it finishes loading everything right before the partition screen the error appears. I have tried to start the disk straight from the start but no luck.

You have either a bad hard drive or bad RAM. Test both.

    try DBAN

this will completely zero fill the hard drive, and then after that, you can just reinstall xp. make sure you back up your data first!!!
