Windows XP does not save icon view settings

  1. My Windows XP does not save my icon view settings. Windows remembers my icon view settings in between sessions, but when I shut down and open Windows again, the icon views of the folders reverts back to the 'icon' setting.

    Open Windows Explorer, (change to required view thumbs or whatever) then Tools, Folder Options, View Tab, Apply to all folders, Yes, Ok.

    If thats what you meant.
