Windows XP Home stuck after 'Windows XP' screen

  1. Thought it was a virus/malware, but that doesn't seem to be the case. ntbtlog.txt shows:

    Loaded drive Mup.sys
    Did not load driver ACPI Multiprocessor PC

    Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

    Could be a bad or corrupted hard drive. Or even corrupted bios and a bad motherboard
