My general advice -go pro...

I wanted to give my $0.02 worth. Based on my experience (and this goes for all developers that have chosen to go over to the "dark side"), here are some advantages Pro offers over home :
  • NTFS file system (better than FAT);
  • IIS and virtual directories for testing webservices;
  • Capability to use Remote Desktop;

Furthermore, that one post about the ActiveDirectories, I can feel your pain. But that is Microsoft for you. Applying one businessRule/solution for one "general" end user...
