  1. Hey everyone. I built a new PC and it seems that i've used up the product code uses. So i need a new key for my moms PC that i just finished. I WANT TO DO IT THE LEGAL WAY So if anyone knows if i can purchase the product key by it self or if i have to go buy an OEM version to use that? Thanks in advance.

I suggest you contact Micirosoft, if you explain the situation, they might just issue you with a new key.

    Regards Howard :)

Thanks for the reply Howard. Has that ever worked? I dont want to say that Microsoft is the evil money mongering corporation that it may be, but them issuing a new key just like that seems kinda far fetched. Well, at least it's worth a try.

Yes, it has worked. I know that for a fact, cause I`ve done it myself and had no problems.

At the end of the day, if they refuse, then you`ll need to purchase a new copy of Windows.

    Regards Howard :)
