Windows XP Professional and "corrupted install files" - Solved
Hello. I got a new computer with Windows XP Professional a few days ago. Yesterday I connected it to the Internet and downloaded a few programs, such as UltimateZip, the latest nVidia ForceWare driver, Zone Alarm, AntiVir and the Battlefield 2 demo.
This is the problem: When I tried installing them, none of them worked. I got error messages like "Corrupted install file" and "The executable you are attempting to run has been corrupted". The Battlefield 2 demo setup wouldn't do anything if I clicked it - no error messages, no installer window... nothing.
I have been succesful in installing some other programs, though. Ad-Aware and Opera worked just fine. I've never had problems like this on Windows 98. Where do you think the problem is?
Many thanks for any help.

EDIT: I discovered that I had nVidia Firewall on that somehow "corrupted" the downloads. Thanks for your help!
