I got a virus from a program called dl.exe....it copies itself into da system32 folder, and creates a exec called dl.exe...it also modifies a lotta progs an data in system32 folder....i looked around on the net an it seems to be a part of the W32.Bagz@mm worm...anyway...there seems to be only 2 ways of removing this beeeatch...one is to edit sumthin in da registry...an da other is to format + reinstall....
I dint know bout da registry editin thing b4...so i formatted an reinstalled from a system restore disk dat came wid my PC....everythin seemed okay...until after da install...
Firstly...right after da install i installed Office XP...
Now....nuthin opens...i click on shtuff an nuthin opens....also...as soon as i login..it gives me an error report for "LSA Shell" ...one of da Microsoft errror reportin thingys...
Also...sumtimes...right after i boot up....both da user accounts cannot be clicked on..ie da mouse click duz nuthin to them...
Sometimes...lsashell crashes right after startup...an den both accounts become password protected (otherwise, one is an one isnt) an da password for da one dat is usually protected is not da same...
Also..my system keeps givin lik a system kinda beep...lik da ones on startup...every few minutes...
HELP....
should i reinstall an try again...or shud i chuck it inda dumpster? An wat is LSA Shell?
