  1. I´ve got my brand new computer and came with a Windows XP trial edition. This version will be uninstalled unless you register it online.....but I have no internet line.

I tried to install my original Windows 98 edition but it´s no possible to read the CD under XP.

How can I do it? Under MS2? And after that can I delete the Windows XP edition?

The thing is that i´m not an experienced PC user and everything is new for me....please give the answer step by step!!!!!

    Thanks a lot !!!!!!

If you have a modem in your computer, I would find someone with a phone line and then do a quick registration.

You can also call Microsoft and get it registerd on the phoneline... There is no such thing as "Windows XP TRIAL edition"... Windows XP requires that everyone "activate" their copy of XP.
