WinMX problems

I'm having WinMX trouble. Is anyone here familiar with it?

What are the problems you are having with the programme?

When did your problems first start?

Have you tried uninstalling, then re-installing the programme?

Well, the problem first started after i downloaded two songs. I logged off after that. Within the next day or two, I logged back on and that's where the problem started. As soon as the problem started, i uninstalled and reinstalled and it was doing the same thing.

Sorry!!!! I completely forgot to tell you guys what the problem was! The problem is this: When i log on to WinMX, it gives me the green light to search and download. When i go to the search window and put in an artist and song and click search, it says it's searching for results, but it never pulls up any. The screen stays black, and it continues to search for results, never providing any. Could it be my internet connection?

New info: I just tried to configure the settings on my WinMX system, and it said that my computer was unable to receive incoming TCP connections. Could this have anything to do with my problem? Can I change this?

Are you using a firewall?

I usually use Norton Personal Firewall, but the subscription is expired, so i disable it.

your better off uninstall as some firewall and virus protection still run services when off.
my opinion winmx is also putting trojans on your pc
user has very little control.
if you are into music dwnlods try a torrent downloader.
I have had to xlean up a few pc's with this program on it

What is a torrent downloader? How can i get one? This problem with WinMX is so frustrating!! My CD burner works great, but i can't download any songs to make my own mixes and things like that.
