I have an existing wireless lan in our small office building at work. In short the electricians who wired the buildings knew nothing about running cat5 cable and the run is over 900ft long between the 2 buildings. So, I am hoping there is a way to access the wireless network in the office building into my building. It is a small network of only 5 computers including the one in my building. I have checked out d-links network wizard but I am still not sure what I need. These are both metal buildings. I hope there is an answer to this. Thanks, any help very much appreciated

You'd need directional antennas and WiFi devices that support bridging..

If there actually is a working CAT5 run between the buldings then you should consider getting an ethernet extender kit. It's basically two modems that can talk to each other over up to several miles using CAT5 - you plug your two networks into these and you have one big ethernet with no security or reliability issues of wireless.
