im trying to set up my wireless router, and i apologize for the many posts regarding the same issue.
do i need to disable my zonelab firewall to be able to install router, and if so is my pc safe during this time???

You need to connect your computer directly to your router with a cable to be able to configure it. Your router does not need to be connected to the internet until you get the firewall password and device name changed. While you are at it you should setup whatever wireless protection protocol you are going to use before you try to connect wirelessly. While you aren't connected to the internet you'll not need Zone-alarm running. OK?
