.wmv decoder

Hi there
I Download many video files form such peer to peer networks such as Kazaa lite and Kiwi alpha.

However many of the files are in .wmv fromat and will not play without a licence aquisition. And even then they still do not play.

Is there any decoder i can download or some other meathod I can use to play these movie files
