Word and Outlook 2003 problems

Have been trying to fix a problem between outlook 2003 and winword as email editor. Have been tyrying to do the update to Word 2003 and it just gets 25% in and no further. Also when I try to put the patch MS06-070 in the computer crashes and I get I Blue screen with a lot of info saying major system error etc etc
Help please

in the meantime use openoffice for a office suite and thunderbird for an email client both are free.

You need to tell us what the error is - we're not mindreaders.....
