  1. I just bought a subscription to norton anti virus and was wandering if having that on my comp would slow my cs source fps. I always make sure the auto update feature is turned off so no pop ups come up when i play but should i or can i do anything else to the norton's software to make my comp run as efficient and fast as possible while playing cs source online? Any suggestions would be helpfull.

    not affected

I have HL2 with NAV running in the background and then without, and I didn't notice any difference in framerates.

However, if you have gmail notifier running, it can sometimes crash the game.

I dont know CS Source but for most games the FPS comes down whenever u are using CPU intensive task(NAV) in the bvack ground u might gain couple of FPS by unloading these task temp!
