First off what is a "scan disk" do u mean SANDISK? as in a flash memory card?

if u mean SANDISK, the sandisk it not write protected. The sirius radio on the other hand, You may want to read the manual first and make sure it will let you import non-XM created files. This would be a DRM issue. Cracking DRM would be hacking as opposed to tech support so if that is your goal you may want to google around for information on your model.
