Wrong bios flash on asus motherboard p4s8L

firstly hello to all: Stupidly i flashed the bios with the wrong update on my friends asus p4s8L motherboard now computer wont completely boot it say bios rom checksum error,this computer has no floppy disk drive,so now it only detects ide cd-rom drive..message reads please put support cd into ide cd-rom and press enter.well after talking to my friend he does not have the support cd.i already tried removing the cmos battery to see if this would help but to no avail.does the computer need to trashed or is there any hope left .anybody have any suggestion?
