I need a simple (cheap) graphics card to go in the pc I'm building. It's a work machine - no gaming - a bit of image editing but mostly MS office, has to be quiet and run 24/7. I was looking at the GeForce 5200 - I like the fact that it is silent. Any views on it ????

Haveing looked arounf a bit more I am now wondering about getting a Matrox 550 - it's a nother £20 but it has a very good 2D rep, passive cooling...

I will spend a lot of time working with MS office at this machine and I wonder if it maky be a bit kinder on my eyes...

I have a XFX GF5600 256MBDDR and it came very! cheap and runs very smooth. Previouly I have a XFX GF 4TI 4200 and it was the same story.

I would recommend going for the 5600, it doesn't cost allot more and you'll have a better preformance(you never know when it come's in handy).

I would definatly go for XFX there cheap and have good quallity.
Also XFX fans are very quiet and have good cooling. Mostly because there made for overclocking and gaming.

Greets Crazy,

PS: hope this helps you
