XP only shows 480 MB of ram

    I recently built myself a computer and I have just a single 512 chip of pc 2700 ram installed. Under system info it is showing up as only 480 MB. Imade sure that the msconfig did not have a max ram set and thats about it. What could be causeing this problem? Thank you for any help or advice you could give

    You have a mobo with built-in graphics, that shares the memory (32MB in your case). The graphics chip takes it away from the main memory.
