XP pro loading problems

I am trying to load xp pro over xp home and have come to a halt ..asms files missing please insert service pack 2 cd.No matter what I do boot from cd ..go to regedit.. try to cancel install ..nothing happens .I cannot access anything other than install will restart HELP

http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/cleanxpinstall.html ...This is the proper way to load the OS..vary from it and you,ll have problems down the road..

Thanks for the advice ..cannot seem to access i386...cannot proceed what now ?
