XP shuts it self off

My laptop with XP home with SP2 just started to shut down automatically after about 40 minutes of me not using it. I could be watching a video or doing a virus scan and it would still shut down.

I have and use zone alarm, spybot, norton and just downloaded Microsofts Antispyware 2 days ago. I checked my power settings and its not that. I used spybot and MS antispyware and found nothing, I haven't been able to run a antivirus scan yet.

Any ideas whats going on. I haven't changed anything recently and the only program I recently downloaded is Microsofts Antispyware. Thanks.

If it was overheating why would it only turn off when I haven't touched it after 40 minutes? My fan sounds the same.

While I was wrong, it does turn off when I'm using it, my virus scan was finishing up when my Inspiron 5100 suddenly turned off. Crap. New fan time I guess.
