XP Startup error "cannot fine SMSSE.EXE"

Per advice on this forum, I understand that this is not a good file or service to be attempting to load. I have captured a HijackThis log and am hopeful that someone can review it. I can see about a dozen items that don't seem to belong. Many thank yous in advance for any advice you may have.

You should NOT double-post in 2 different forums!

Follow these instructions EXACTLY and put HijackThis in e.g C:\Program Files\HJT and NOT in Temp or on the Desktop!.
