    OK so here it is.

I am currently running XP with 1 250gb hard drive (126gb Used Space)

I want to upgrade to Vista, I already have it on disc and ready to go so thats not a problem. What I wanted to know, is it possible for me to partition my c drive into 2 seperate drives, install vista on the new drive and then after vista is installed move all 126gb from Old drive on XP over to vista?

The reason Is i want to keep all my files and havent got a external hard drive to put them and would rather do a clean install of vista as oppose to an upgrade.

    Thanks.

yes you can move your files this way, but not the applications.

you will need to reinstall them from their orignal CDs or downloaded installer.exe
