Yahoo messenger won't uninstall/ Windows 7 home edition

I'm getting a blank window when I open yahoo messenger so I wanted to uninstall and reinstall to see if it would work properly. This is after I tried to update yahoo messenger and it wouldn't work.
Wise Uninstall window
Could not open INSTALL.LOG file.

I tried
start
typed run in the search box
clicked on Run under programs
browse and found "C:\Program Files (x86)\Yahoo!\Messenger\UNWISE.EXE"
Per suggestion in another post: at the end of the file name (space) install.log
Got the same response as before
Thanks

Revo Uninstaller Pro should do it. If you don't want to buy it, you can get it on a free trial.

Follow the simple instructions. Basically, you can initiate the uninstall from the program list, or if not shown there from the program file (or even its icon). Make sure you're logged in as administrator. If you get any message to the effect that you don't have permission etc, ignore it and tell it to scan anyway. Delete what it finds.

That worked!!! The first time I tried was using google chrome and it didn't work. Ran it to mozilla and it was a go. Sweet!!! Thanks so much for the help. This was driving me nuts.
