I found this cool little program while googling around.. its called SuperPi, and im sure many of you know of it.. :giddy:

Just want to know everyones CPU speed n their setup.. n i think this could be pretty cool n fun to do.. maybe not cool but fun haha yea :grinthumb

Neway download the program and Calculate the time it takes to calculate to 2M (million) digits and also post ur computer specs.. CPU type/speed, Ram, HDD.. w/e the heck u wanna put in there lol

also i had 37 Processes running at the same time with a little less than 225MB available memory

These are settings I used and timed.
2m-20 iterations
2min 10sec

33 Processes
Ath 2700+ (2.176mhz)
1.5g 2700 ddr
80g sata 5400
well I did get braggin rights for the next little while or
until a member with hot rod blows his/her dust round... :unch:

wow!!! 18processes >_< were u in safe mode?
thats crazee.. i thot 33 was good (considering i used to run at 45 processes after boot up)

hmm it seems the AMD's are killin Intel much =] i could use this as info for when building a system.. good stuff

maybe i'll gather the information after enuf posts and make graphs n such heh

oh.. forgot to mention.. im JEALOUS of olefarte's system =[ thats jus some crazee stuff (i checked out ur specs n whoa) i want one of those haha

44running processes.

I did it while running firefox and surfing the web, I could probably get better.

Edit: safe mode used 12 processes, but was slower overall on super pi, odd huh?

I have loads of programmes installed,(approx 50) but I don`t have many running in the background. Please see the attached jpegs.

pretty good

1 min 46, 47 processes, nd most people post their 1 million speed, mines 44 secons.

howard i use task manager to check my # of running processes. .i'll try using ad-aware later tonight when i get home :grinthumb

Might do some more overclock tweaks and post them here :p ATM everything RAM AGP SRC is locked.
