This software and drivers are still in a beta phase but are necessary for your Microsoft input devices to work properly under Windows 7.

Installation Notes

The download and installation process can take up to 30 minutes so you should schedule accordingly.

IMPORTANT Always install the software using the Setup program instead of installing the drivers directly. This download and installation process will take approximately 30 minutes to complete and you will not be prompted for an action for several minutes. Do not click "Install" more than once.

Beta Software Installation

1. Install Windows Live Messenger (https://download.live.com).

NOTE Make sure your LifeCam device is unplugged before installing the software.

2. Install LifeCam Software.

3. When the Setup program is finished, open the LifeCam software by double-clicking the LifeCam icon on the desktop.

4. If your audio and video must be adjusted, open the LifeCam Dashboard (stars icon in upper-right corner of LifeCam application), click Settings (tab with a wheel icon), and then click "Audio / Video Settings" and follow the instructions to adjust the settings for your speakers, microphone, and video.

Known Issues

Microsoft is aware of the following current known issues for Windows 7.

1.1 Avermedia tuning cards may disrupt the video stream from your LifeCam.

1.2 The Windows Live Messenger call button on the webcams does not work if Windows Live Messenger is already running.

1.3 AMCap 2.0 does not work on Windows 7 (AMCap 9.1 does work).
