18x wide-angle optical Zoom-NIKKOR lens

Now you can carry a portable camera with an amazing 18x zoom range from wide-angle (25mm) to telephoto (450mm). S9200’S remarkable Zoom-NIKKOR glass lens renders sharp, clear images every time. Plus, S9200’s built-in optical VR Image Stabilization system minimizes the effects of camera shake for incredible images and movies, even when zoomed all the way in.

16.0 MP CMOS image sensor

Great pictures are made after the sun sets. With S9200’s brilliant 16.0 megapixel CMOS sensor technology, you can capture all the night’s action with low noise for better images. Use the Night Landscape Mode and the camera will take a series of images and automatically combine them in the camera. The results are spectacular!

Full HD (1080p) movies with stereo sound

The S9200 is not only an exceptional camera, it’s also an exceptional movie camera. Simply press the record button and start shooting your own movies. Frame your shot with the optical zoom even as you’re recording. Pause the recording and restart to create a seamless movie file. Even record slow- and fast-motion movies for some very creative and entertaining moments. Sound is automatically recorded in stereo and the HDMI port enables easy hook up to an HDTV.

Built-in creative effects

Powerful in-camera processing allows a myriad of creative effects. Special effects like Sepia, Monochrome, Selective color, Soft Low and High Key can be selected prior to shooting stills or movies, and filter effects like Miniature, Fisheye, Cross Screen, Soft and Selective Color can be selected after the still shot has been taken. Experiment for the special look that enhances the mood of the moment.

High-resolution 921,000-dot LCD monitor

Get a better view with the S9200’s ultra-high-resolution monitor. A large 3-inch display with wide viewing angles, anti-reflective coating and brightness adjustment gives you a big bold look of the world. 921,000 dots provide ultra high-resolution for a sharp, clear display in both image and movie capture and playback.

What's New:

  • When the Charging AC Adapter EH-69P and USB Cable UC-E6 were connected to the camera to charge the Rechargeable Li-ion Battery EN-EL12 with the EN-EL12 at or very near full exhaustion, the battery sometimes could not be charged. This issue has been resolved.

Note: When firmware is updated, images recorded to the camera’s internal memory are erased. Be sure to back up necessary images recorded to the camera’s internal memory to a memory card or computer before upgrading the firmware.

Note: Before proceeding with your driver installation we suggest you make sure you are installing the latest version available and for the appropriate model/revision and Operating System. We strongly suggest following 'readme' instructions for installing drivers when available. Often restarting your system will be necessary for the new driver to become active and start functioning properly.
