Compared with the previous Hyperion Pro driver package, version 5.00A, this version does include the IDE Filter driver, V1.20D. For Win9X/ME/2K the IDE filter driver is needed to support UDMA 6. The IDE Filter driver is not needed for WinXP SP1 and later Microsoft operating systems.
Version 5.04A includes the following components:
IDE Filter V1.20D
Since the Hyperion Pro package includes SATA/RAID drivers whilst the Hyperion 4in1 package does not, the extra contents makes the Hyperion Pro package over 5MB larger than the Hyperion 4in1 package. Therefore if you are not utilizing a VIA SATA or RAID controller in your system, the Hyperion 4in1 package may be a better download choice.
Supported Operating Systems:
Windows XP, Windows 98, Windows XP 64-Bit, Windows ME, Windows 98SE, Windows 2000, Windows NT, Windows Server 2003 x64
To install the driver, save any unsaved work and close all applications then click on the driver download link (above). Note: Before proceeding with your driver installation we suggest you make sure you are installing the latest version available and for the appropriate model/revision and Operating System.
We strongly suggest following 'readme' instructions for installing drivers when available. Often restarting your system will be necessary for the new driver to become active and start functioning properly.
