Paint.NET es software de manipulación de imágenes y fotos diseñado para ser utilizado en computadoras que funcionan con Windows XP o 2000. Paint.NET se desarrollo en Washington State University con ayuda adicional de Microsoft, y su propósito es ser un reemplazo gratuitito del programa de MS Paint que viene con todos los sistemas operativos de Windows. El lenguaje de programación usado para crear Paint.NET es el C#, con extensiones GDI+.
