Microsoft to discontinue Wi-Fi products

Microsoft confirmed today that it will no longer offer Wi-Fi peripherals, this comes as a big surprise since the software giant was very successful at introducing their products and gaining a respectable market share in a short amount of time. MS officials said their products will continue selling for a few months until stock runs dry, also support will cover the 2-year warranty but nothing else after that.

[COLOR=#1951B9]A source close to the company said Microsoft entered the Wi-Fi field with hopes of "raising the bar" on security, ease-of-use and performance and now feels it has accomplished those goals.[/COLOR]

Microsoft had a complete line of Wi-Fi products including base stations, laptop cards, and USB and PCI add-ons for desktop machines.
