Warner Bros. will license some of its films to Netflix, in a trial run of the company's upcoming movie-download service. The service will allow people to download films via Netflix. Currently, Netflix is limited to delivering DVDs via the U.S. Postal Service, but soon this could all change if there is the expected partnership between Netflix and TiVo to jointly introduce a video-on-demand (VOD) service in the coming year. Everything is still pretty much in the planning stages, and nothing is final yet. Companies such as Warner Bros. (who own the rights to movies such as "Harry Potter" saga, etc) are vital to the take-up of a successful movie-download service, as is support from Hollywood in general.
