Apple unveils new iBook

Apple yesterday unveiled what it calls the "the fastest, most affordable iBook® G4 ever." The new iBook features built-in AirPort® Extreme 54 Mbps 802.11g wireless networking, a slot-load SuperDrive™ for burning DVDs and Apple’s breakthrough iLife® ‘04 suite for managing digital music and photos, making movies and music. Packing a 1.2GHz or 1.33GHz PowerPC processor, and offering six hours of battery life, the new iBook is a bargain at $999.
