CNet has posted an excellent round-up with the latest revenue reports from major players in the IT industry. The increasingly popular Google has doubled its year-over-year profit, now up to $52 million thanks to a healthy online ad market.

Other companies such as PeopleSoft, SAP and the software giant, Microsoft, have all beat its own estimates, while Lucent sees its first profitable year since 2000.

Not everyone seems to be rejoicing on their financial results however, AT&T posted a $7.1 billion loss, reflecting a major reduction in the value of the carrier's network following its retreat from the consumer market.
