Daily Download: Need for Speed Underground 2 demo

Electronic Arts released today the playable demo of illegal racing sim, Need for Speed Underground 2. The 345 MB download lets you play through three different scenarios in various modes including online multiplayer mode (no LAN however). If you are into arcade racing sims, you may want to give this a test drive before the full version hits the stores next November 15th.
The Demo contains:
Free Roam (Beacon Hill)
Outrun Race
Circuit (one event - accessible in world)
Downhill Drift (one event - accessible in world)
Stores (Car Lot, and Specialty Shop)

Quick Race
Downhill drift (same track as in free roam)
Circuit (same track as in free roam)

Online (full server, no LAN)
Downhill drift (same track as in free roam)
Circuit (same track as in free roam)
Cars
Player car - Nissan 350Z Preview

  1. Anyone else downloading this having a problem getting it at more than 10KB/s. I'm sure the servers are bogged down but cmon, its a 345MB file.
  2. Yep same prob, forget it...
  3. I found a different place to get it. Gamershell is mirroring it and I was able to get it in about an hour. Oh boy the cars sound much better in this one, vrooom vrooom psssst!!!!
  4. Maybe it's too late for some of you but I have added a faster mirror now. Unfortunately we can't host files locally for the most part, we are not there yet, maybe sometime in the future. EA server wasn't as slow as you mention when I added the file, too much people trying to download during peak hours for sure.
