I found this over at The Inquirer, which I thought was worth mentioning. Via K8T890 boards are almost ready, and need about two more weeks before they ship to reviewers and just a bit longer than that before they will be available to customers.

K8T890 offers a whole range of new features, some being:

-The first PCI Express chipset for the AMD platform (PCI Express x16 Graphics, 4 PCI Express x1).
-Designed to support a complete range of AMD Athlon™ 64, Athlon 64 FX, Opteron™, and Sempron™ processors.
-VIA's Hyper8 technology supporting a 1GHz/16-bit HyperTransport processor-to-chipset link.
-High bandwidth Ultra V-Link bus to allow communication between the chipset North and South bridges at a blazing 1GB/s.
-DDR memory controller integrated directly into AMD64 processor.
-Onboard SATA Dual Channel Serial ATA supports 2 SATA devices, plus SATALite™ interface for two additional SATA devices 4 total.
-RAID 0, RAID 1, and RAID 0+1³ & JBOD (SATA).

In about a week or two, the motherboards will enter mass production. I can hardly wait to see some reviews.
