Toshiba recalls faulty notebook memory

Toshiba Corp. has announced an exchange program for memory modules in some of its notebook PCs after identifying a module problem that could cause the PCs to exhibit blue screens and lock ups. The memory modules in question are (or rather, were) supplied by third parties and are no longer used by Toshiba in its notebook PCs currently in production. Under the program, customers can exchange their existing memory during the period of November 1, 2004 until April 30, 2005. So if you have bought a Toshiba notebook that you think qualifies, get cracking!
