As you maybe were expecting, the U.S. presidential election has driven millions of people onto the Internet, with the traffic for news sites, candidate sites and other related material soaring. CNN.com saw a 63 percent increase in traffic, the New York Times was up 32 percent, and the Drudge Report was up 60 percent. Many well known blogs were hit with much more traffic as well. More here.
