"I am quite sure of hiring hundreds over the next 12 months. The work we are doing here is not low-level. It's very high-level creative engineering... There are so many growth opportunities in our business that we can invest both in Hyderabad and, at the same time, continue making many more hires (at) our headquarters." - Steve Ballmer, Microsoft CEO.

Microsoft, who have their eye on strengthening their presence in Asia, have announced that they will be hiring several hundred new employees at its new Indian campus in the next year. The company's Indian campus, its biggest outside the United States, currently employs about 800 people in product development and support services. This is now set to grow. The move follows the trend of off shoring work to India.
