AMD not number one in notebooks

Reports that AMD have unseated Intel as the No. 1 supplier of notebook-computer processors in North America are absolute rubbish, according to The Inquirer in their article here.

Reliable sources close to AMD have confirmed that although AMD have made some gains in the notebook market in the US, AMD's share of the market is estimated to be 30 percent at best. And, they have their work cut out for them: Intel's "Centrino" brand "delivers a considerable amount of marketing dollars to brand names which use the now familiar kitemark."

What is your experience of this? In your local electronics stores, how many AMD laptops can you see? Certainly in stores near me, they are practically non-existent. What have you noticed?
