Iomega has unveiled a 400GB, Firewire 800 drive. The drive, which is available in three capacities - 400GB, 250GB and 160GB - sports the Firewire 800 interface in its external version together with support for the more common Firewire 400 and USB 2.0 interfaces. Rotational speed is 7200rpm. The drives are bundled with Iomega software, including Automatic Backup software for Windows users and Dantz Retrospect Express for the Mac heads among us.

The three new drives are available now in the US for $199 (160GB), $279 (250GB) and $429 (400GB), respectively. There's no word yet on European pricing and availability.
