Budget level gamers should be pleased with the GeForce 6600 AGP, set to challenge the Radeon 9600 XT in the ATI world as the choice for the $149-$199 price range. Carrying a core clock of 300MHz, the GeForce 6600 AGP card you buy will have its memory clocked between 250 and 275MHz, according to the different manufacturers of the various brands.

New for PCI Express from NVIDIA, and in competition with the Radeon X800 and X800XL, is the GeForce 6800 LE, at prices ranging from $229 to $279. The 6800 LE PCI-E is clocked at 325MHz core and 300MHz memory and comes with a 256-bit memory bus, and will be perfect for those trying their first dabbling in SLI.
