Samsung have developed a motion sensitive mobile phone, which features a 3D movement recognition technology which can monitor and calculate movements of the mobile phone in real time and carry out commands on the device. Called ‘accelerometer’, the technology can be used to perform such tasks as using specific movements to accept or reject calls.

The mobile is smart enough to make out the difference between an accidental movement and a user initiated command. Samsung claims that the mobile phone is sophisticated enough to identify general position and direction to include precise recognition of small and rapid movements.

Samsung believes that 3D movement recognition technology will become an important user interface and revolutionize mobile phones, becoming something of a standard in the near future.
