Sharp's new Actius AL3D has been upgraded to include 3D screen technology. The notebook is positioned on the high end of Sharp's notebook family and integrates a Pentium M 750 (1.86 GHz) chip, Nvidia's Go 6600 graphic chip with 128 Mbyte memory, an 80 GByte SATA harddrive, a DVD burner, as well as 1 GByte DDR2 system memory. Its 15-inch 3D screen eliminates the need for 3D glasses, instead achieving a 3D effect by using a parallax barrier technique to separate light signals. The Actius AL3D allows the user to switch between 2D and 3D with the touch of a button.
