PlayStation Portable to become portable music player

Sony has plans to let customers turn their popular PlayStation Portable (PSP) game unit into a music player. The company has announced that it will be releasing software that will permit users to download songs from Sony's Connect music service. Sony has also promised to give the PSP the ability to link to PCs and Macs, and that this ability should be delivered within one year. The move is just the beginning of Sony's work to turn PSP into a versatile, portable device for games, music, videos and much more.
