Google News gets personal

By Andres Robalino on March 10, 2005, 5:38 PM
Google News website which is still in beta has received a major update with new customization features accessible through an user-friendly JavaScript interface. Just in case you didn't know, TechSpot's news headlines are offered through Google News site daily, too.

You will need to have cookies enabled to save your customized settings but good news is that you can not only choose preferred topics but can also add your own section or specify keywords in order to get the exact content you are looking for. The question remains though, when can we expect Google News's graduation from the lab? And what are search giant's plans to monetize on what is currently a completely free resource?
